SARRC Free Autism Screening Event-
Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) is providing parents with a valuable opportunity to assess their children’s developmental progress through a free developmental screening event at their NEW Tucson campus. This is a great opportunity for families to get questions answered about their child’s development. If an evaluation is necessary, scholarships are available!
Why is a Developmental Screening Important?
Early identification of developmental delays allows families to access support and resources when they matter most. Screenings can offer peace of mind and provide a clear path forward if further evaluation or intervention is needed.
Who Should Attend:
A screening is recommended for parent(s)/caregiver(s) with children up to 13 years old who have concerns about their child’s development; observe that they are not achieving milestones that other children are; or notice behaviors that seem out of the ordinary.
How the Screening Program Works:
The screening will take approximately 15 minutes based on the child’s age and the responses provided. Parent(s)/caregiver(s) will consult with a member of SARRC’s clinical team who will utilize a standardized and valid procedure to assess whether a formal evaluation is recommended. Following the screening, a SARRC team member may advise that a formal autism diagnostic evaluation is recommended.
